Using Network Cables for Switch Connections in the Wiring Stage

If you are using network cables to connect traditional switches to a smart panel during the wiring stage, you can use this module to detect switch commands.

This module has 24 switch inputs, which can significantly reduce the cost of the smart system.

To connect this module to the switches and the smart system, first power the module and establish communication with other smart devices using the bus port at the top of the module. Then, you can connect seven switch bridges to this system using an eight-strand network cable, and use one of the strands for the common wire or ground. This will significantly reduce the cabling cost compared to traditional wiring.

Benefits of Using Network Cables

  • Reduced cost: Using network cables can significantly reduce the cost of the smart system by reducing the amount of wiring required.
  • Easier installation: Network cables are easier to install than traditional wiring, which can save time and labor costs.
  • More flexibility: Network cables are more flexible than traditional wiring, which makes it easier to make changes to the system later on.
  • Future-proof: Network cables are a more future-proof solution than traditional wiring, as they can be used to connect to a wider variety of smart devices.

How to Use the Module

  1. Power the module using the bus port at the top of the module.
  2. Connect seven switch bridges to the module using an eight-strand network cable.
  3. Use one of the strands for the common wire or ground.
  4. Connect the module to the smart system using the remaining strands of the network cable.
  5. Configure the smart system to recognize the switch inputs from the module.
